These are development notes for the v0.1.0 prototype, rather than separate numbered releases.

A quieter editor, and a command of its own.
The editor now opens with your file front and centre. The sidebar and Change Desk stay hidden until you ask for them. Escape returns you to the plain editor.
A file picker on Ctrl+O; the sidebar has its own toggle on Ctrl+B.
Colour schemes on Ctrl+P and searchable actions on Ctrl+K.
Save moved into the same toolbar as Open, Changes, Settings, and Actions.
A command-line entry point: annot8 filename, with paths relative to your current directory.
New filenames open an empty buffer and are created on save.
Option+← / → word movement, plus Ctrl+E for the end of a line.
18 automated tests currently pass. Cross-platform testing is still to come.
Folio became annot8. The new settings menu brought three colour schemes, soft wrapping, line numbers, and indentation controls. Preferences persist per workspace.
Fonts remain the terminal’s job. The menu explains where to change them rather than offering a selector that cannot affect the terminal.
Python and Textual gave us a small terminal editor with familiar controls, no editing modes, and a dedicated Change Desk.
Git comparisons use the last commit. Agent comparisons use a saved snapshot, keeping existing personal changes separate from edits made after the snapshot. Character-level highlights and explicit BEFORE / AFTER labels make the review easier to follow.
